Daniel M. Pell is an experienced trial attorney with 34 years of trial work in
Federal
Court as well as 16 years’ experience in handling immigration
cases.
Mr.Pell is a graduate of the De Paul University College of Law located in Chicago
Illinois, having graduated in 1975 with a Juris Doctor Degree, and completed his
Undergraduate work at Lafayette College in 1971, located in Easton, Pennsylvnia,
With a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology.
Mr. Pell has completed hundreds of criminal jury trials and hundreds of
immigration cases, including detained cases.
Mr. Pell has also handled immigration appeals to the Board of Immigration
Appeals after individuals have been order removed/deported from the U.S., as
well as
Federal
Court Appeals.
Mr. Pell also has done many federal District Court Actions. He is licensed in
Pennsylvania and Maryland, as well as the following Courts:
- U.S. Supreme Court
- U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
- U.S. District Court Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
- U.S. District Court Middle District of Pennsylvania.
- U.S. District Court for Maryland

- Supreme Court of Pennsylvania.
Mr. Pell has been recognized for his work on the Golden Venture Case involving
more than 200 Chinese who jumped ship off the coast of New York City, a case
of
national importance. Mr. Pell has also
done extensive work for Tibetans seeking asylum in the United States, and has
conducted classes for paralegals for national not-for-profit organizations in the
U.S.
under the
auspices of the Mennonite Central Committee.
Mr. Pell has extensive experience in handling cases involving asylum ,
withholding
of removal and Convention Against Torture(CAT). These asylum,
withholding of
removal and Convention Against Torture (CAT)cases have been
done both in
detained and bonded out settings. Mr. Pell has handled asylum
case,
withholding and CAT cases for Pakistan, India, China, Russia, Haiti, Laos,
Guinea, Ukraine,
Latvia, Angola, Colombia, Cuba, Belarus, Afghanistan, Sierra Leone, Serbia,
Tibet,
Nepal, Nigeria, Somalia, Yemen, Egypt, Iran, Iraq.
Mr. Pell regularly appears in Immigration Courts located in New York City,
Philadelphia, Newark, Arlington, Virginia, Baltimore, and York, Pa., and
for
affirmative asylum applications at the Newark Asylum Center located in
Lyndhurst,
New Jersey.
Mr. Pell regularly files visa applications both work and family based for persons
who are citizens from many different countries around the world, and has
appeared
on behalf of individuals with proceedings pending at various U.S.
Embassies and Consulates around the world.
